Ed has been visiting Sicily regularly for the past 15 years to see the network of winemakers he works with at his restaurants in London: Brawn, an established neighborhood restaurant in east London, and Sargasso, a seafood spot on the north Kent coast in Margate.
The opportunity of creating the Ricci Weekender alongside Gilles & Diego in 2018 came about after Ed and Gilles had been working on an idea of creating a cultural exchange where food, wine, and music shared an equal stage. Catania with its rich food and wine culture was a natural choice, and Mercati Generali was the perfect stage to showcase such an event.
Ed Wilson will be cooking on Sunday 3rd September during the Brunch at Murgo Winery.
