Federica Vita, aka Bluemarina, is both a DJ and designer, born on
the Strait of Messina.
Her passion to know all kinds of music has led her to create eclectic
patterns, combining contemporary electronic with sounds from
other continents, overcoming preconceptions deriving from
different genres.
Whether on a mixtape or played for a dancefloor, Bluemarina’s
everchanging sounds evoke diverse landscapes, harmonizing folk
songs, Mediterranean rhythms and psychedelic effects.

Bluemarina is monthly resident on Radio Raheem with “Gospel
delle Sirene” show, a deep dive into a dreamlike dimension made of
music and sound fragments from different parts of the world.
Bluemarina is also a co-founder of Fluidae, FLINTA collective from
Sicily, aimed at reducing the gender gap in the music industry.

She regularly hosts “Tropical Pazza” a monthly musical night at the
Retronouveau club in Messina, an unpredictable, colourful event
where slowed rhythms and tribal sounds link multiple dimensions
in space and time, with the presence of special guests such as Hugo
Sanchez, Eva Geist, Tamburi Neri, Enrica Falqui, and more.

[Born of water, made of water.
We are the brethren of migratory dreams,
between earth and sea, body and ether, east and west.
We inhabit the Mediterranean.
Music is our invocation, our dance, our sciamanic rite.
Electronic and organic, until the new day.]
